Rosenportrait 'Munstead Wood'

  1. Another very nice rose Georg.

I do like those David Austin roses.

My favourite red rose however is Papa Meilland. It has a wonderful scent and a beautiful colour. I recommend it 100%!!

    1. Hello Kirk,
I'm usually not very fond of red roses, but the 'Papi Delbard' seems to have this beautiful velvet touch, that I adore... Maybe I need to expand my wishlist for Santaclaus a bit;)
By the way, you are the first person that I know, who positively speaks about the Austins. I definitively agree with you:) They perform very well in my Garden and their hanging blooms really do look so romantic. In this one year we own this garden, I already grow 39 different roses and the Austins have always been my favourite ones since then. At least there are a few others that can compare to the intensive fragrance of the Austins...but I need to wait for the bourbons and albas I planted a few weeks ago...
      Greetings

    2. Yes many people don't like Austins but I do. I like the colour, and the fragrance and the look of them. I guess they don't like it because they are not old roses but I think that many of the Austins are beautiful roses and when we have our garden I intend to grow a lot of them!
